If you are trying to find help acquiring or financing a used car, take a look at workingcarsforworkingfamilies.org.  Their mission is to help working families to "get, keep and use a reliable car at fair terms."  They are a nationwide coalition of many organizations which have the same goal. You can search for a location near you on their website. To find out if you or your child is eligible you simply fill out an applicastion and they will let you know where you can find help.
