We are a free clinic aiding the uninsured and underinsured. We believe that out patients would benefit from a meditation room where they would schedule time for guided meditation to help relieve stress in their lives. We are looking for grant money to establish the room in our clinic. Can a free clinic get grant money for a meditation room?
That sounds like a very good idea.
Are you a 501c3 non-profit? That would open up a much broader range of opportunities for you to find grants. In either case, it might still be worthwhile for you to check your state's website and see if there are any relevant grants that might be available to you.
You might also have some luck checking out Grants for Nonprofits. It's a very handy guide to the types of grants available not only from the government but also from private foundations.
