I was wondering if there is a grant for starting a business that makes silt socks. Silt socks are used to prevent soil erosion. Is there a grant for a business making anti-erosion for soil?
Angela since your business would be a benefit to the environment you might be able to find a government grant you could be eligible for. Check out this guide to grants.gov and particularly the section about doing a search --- it will help you to week out results that aren't relevant to you.

And don't forget to check out your state's website. Do a search for "grants" if there's no section with that heading. Many states have a special focus on environment related projects and businesses so there could be something there for you.
