There is in fact a new service in South Carolina called SC Access. It maintains a large database of resources and is trying to make it easier for people — particularly seniors — to find the services they need. It is a free service, provided by the state’s Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging. Check them out at scaccess.communityos.org  You could also take a look at this article about home repair grants. It’s not specific to South Carolina but you might also find it helpful.
