Where can I get a home grant?

I need grant for medical bills over $20,000 and the state of North Carolina said they over paid me 20,000 and I have to pay it. My wife and I are disabled and can't work and with other bills just to live-on a set income we can't live a life. The bathroom needs to be redone for handicapped use and we can't even use our spare bedroom and small bath because the ceiling is falling down and we have not had hot water in two months we just dont have money to have any kind of life. We are looking for help. Where can I get a home grant?

Several ideas for places to look to find some options for help:

First take a look at this overview of Grants for Seniors. It has some great tips for saving money and for finding financial assistance for a variety of needs specific to seniors as well as the disabled.

Also:  Home Grants provides lots of information specific to housing, whether owned or rented.

Last but not least -- I Need Help also will give you some good ideas about who to turn to in your local area for a number of different needs.
