I have many bills as most people do, but I want to attend my next semester in August and I do not have the money to go. Also I need to pay off bills so that I can be at peace and have less problems in order to concentrate. I already take care of my 91 year old mother and financially it is difficult. Is there grant money for me to attend school part time and pay off bills?

Thank you

The only true "grants" we are aware of for students are Pell Grants. Even if you think you won't qualify you should immediately go and fill out your Free Application For Student Aid. This is the best place to look for money for school.

Also, you may be qualified to get paid for the time you spend caring for your mother, particularly if she is disabled. Take a look at the section called Financial Aid for Family Caregivers in this guide to disability.gov.

Finally, have you tried to find some part time work to supplement your cash situation? Driving for Uber might be an option. It's easy to sign up if you have a decent car, and Uber lets you totally control when you are available to drive and when you're not.
